Drop-off and collection
At the beginning and end of the school day, parents are encouraged into the playgrounds. This helps to build a close relationship between home and school – we want to have good links with all parents.
Your child’s teacher will be available in the playground each day. If there is something you would like to ask or clarify, parents are more than welcome to speak to them at this time. However, if more time is required (class teachers need to be with their class at 8.55am), an appointment can be made through our school office.
If your usual arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child) please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset as we will be unable to let your child go if we do not recognise the person picking them up or have not been informed of a change to routine.
Getting to school
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option as the roads become very congested! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely and be courteous at all times.
If children are walking to and from school, we must have a signed consent form from parents.
