Computing
At St Johns, we recognise that technology is an integral part of everyday life and therefore we want our children to become competent and respectful users of computing technology. We strive to equip children with the understanding, skills and knowledge needed to become active participants in an ever-changing digital world.
The Computing curriculum at St John's is based on the Purple Mash scheme of work and adapted to meet the needs of our children and our particular context. The scheme gives our children exposure to and experiences of the exciting world of computer programming, online safety, digital literacy and information technology. Sequencing of units throughout and across year groups has been carefully considered to ensure progression within each of these areas.
